Military Testimonials
We love the military families that God brings our way! They add so much to our congregation and it’s a privilege to serve them.
BillingsAs a military family, it can be difficult to plug into a church family. For us, this is because our schedules are full and we move around so often. After moving to Sumter and searching months for the right church, we finally found Harmony Church. Even through our busy schedules and unexpected deployments and moves, the members of this church have been loving, supporting, available. They are a true family! Harmony Church is a place we feel at home and when the time comes to leave, it won't be easy.
CornsWhen my husband's career with the USAF had scheduled us to move to Sumter, SC, I immediately began praying. I prayed for the Lord to lead us to a church that would grow our family spiritually, allow us to be involved within the church, and to meet new people who we could develop friendships with. Within a month of moving to Sumter, we were invited to attend Harmony Church by a co-worker. Lucas knew immediately that this was our fit. It took me a little longer, but I am so thankful that the Lord placed us here at Harmony. We have developed not only meaningful friendships but family. Our family has survived deployments, TDYs and welcomed two wonderful baby boys in the past six years. Our Harmony family has been there for us every step of the way as we have grown not only in number but spiritually as well. We feel at home here.

RodriguezCarrie and the kids visited Harmony in 2015 while looking for a home in the area in preparations to PCS to South Carolina. The congregation was warm and welcoming and the service was a blessing. Upon my return from a short tour and after our PCS was complete, we returned to Harmony and were again greeted as a family and we were able to plug into the church and subsequently the community and the Word.
KopilowHarmony felt like home on the very first Sunday, and I didn’t know a soul in the service I showed up for. I was welcomed by warm, loving families. I was away from the base but not away from anyone who felt like brothers and sisters, and it was just what I needed as a young airman. The members at Harmony got to know me well enough that by the time I married my fiancé and moved her across the country to Sumter, she felt right at home because they all knew of her and welcomed her just the same as they would do for me. Harmony makes Sumter and Shaw AFB feel like home.
